Course Description
This section will cover the material in the
regular Math 111 syllabus (see the link on my homepage), but with an emphasis
on additional data sets pertinent to issues of globalization. There will
be additional exercises to be carried out with Microsoft Excel.
The lab will differ somewhat from the traditional Math 111 lab. About
five lab meetings will be conducted by CBR personnel, and will give an
overview of modern information processing--namely databases, and also
the GIS systems that are used in spatial and geographic statistics.
Course requirements and tests are on the dates given on the regular syllabus;
test dates are repeated below for your convenience.
Final Exam:
- Thursday December 13 from 8AM to noon. Place TBA
