Course Description

This course will go carefully over material from first year calculus. The student will learn some new material, especially in the areas of sequences and series of numbers, and sequences and series of functions. This latter material is important in more advanced courses, both pure and applied. At the same time, and more importantly, students will develop theoretical skills--how to give careful and convincing proofs of key facts in calculus. These theoretical skills are essential to more advanced math courses such as topology and advanced analysis.
